What can we expect at our consultation?

A Wedding Cake Consultation is a private appointment set aside for you. You will be meeting with one of our cake designers who will help you with flavors, style and pricing. You will be served an assortment of our cake and filling selections. Feel free to suggest any particular flavors when booking your appointment. We have a nice selection of photo albums with pictures of our own work; as well as wedding cake design books and magazines. We will help you with different pricing options according to your needs, and give you a quote in writing  to take home. You'll find this helpful when doing price comparisons, or for relaying info to your fiance or parents. There is no pressure to book your order; we look at each consultation as an opportunity to meet and serve someone new.

What should I bring with me?

Photos of cakes you like from magazines or the internet are a great place to start. Pictures of your gown or bridesmaids gowns if you have them, perhaps an invitation, or a piece of pretty paper that strikes your fancy. Bring along information on your reception site too; we deliver to many places and often can make suggestions based on what we know about a particular venue's decor or set-up style.

I need moral support! Can I bring someone with me?

Of course! Your fiance is the first choice, but if he or she is not available, feel free to bring along your mom, sister or a friend. We really recommend an intimate setting for a consultation; large groups make it hard to give undivided attention to our brides and grooms and their cakes. If there are some special people at home who are eager to taste your selections, we will be happy to send home samples for them!

Can I just stop in for a consultation? Or is it best to book an appointment?

We do our Consultations by appointment. We are a retail store, so you can certainly stop by to check us out anytime; but please know that you are very important to us! We want to be sure we have the right staff in-store to best help you with your cake ideas. We have alot of availability Monday through Thursday between noon and 3:00 pm. After that we schedule at specific times in the afternoon and evening. Currently, we are partnering with Valerie from Event du Jour to provide Saturday and Sunday bridal appointments as well.
